PS: You seem really stoked for playing Ratchet. I would like to offer up some praise to you on your writing skills. What you wrote in this forum was really quite legible and readable. That's pretty good for someone who is what 7 or 8 years old?
Well done!
Special status and recognition do not comport to 'equality'
And that is...both phenoms in the "Who gives a $h!t category"
I am not saying that high-def tv's are not being purchased enmasse, or that high-def. format is not the wave of the future. I hope so because I own a 52 inch 1080i LG LCD DLP.
I am saying that neither Blu-Ray or HD-DVD will be a winning format.
Some advice: the key to winning an argument is to actually rebut what was said, not go off on another tangent entirely.
Reading helps too.
Blu-Ray fans are so ardent because it is part and parcel of the PS3 that they more than likely own. Without Blu-Ray's dominance the PS3 longevity will continue to be in question for a longer period of time, and thus the nerve-wracking fear that perhaps they made the wrong choice buying an extremely expensive system, and should have bought the cheaper and more successful 360.
PS. I do not think the PS3 will fail. I would like one myself. But I think the aforementioned points are...
Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are fighting over ground that has already been salted. Both are lose-lose propositions.
Neither technology will be able to grab the required foothold with consumers to establish itself long-term, apart from techno-philes.
DVD's still rule, and will rule until opted in maybe 5-6 years by another technology.
Upscaling, as mentioned in the article, is just another nail in the respective coffins.

It takes you 15 minutes to realize that the "High-Score" in the title of this artice is a double-entendre.
Whoah.
Your lack of erudition, and your failure to grasp even the most basic concepts of grammar and syntax.
Word up! -literally.
A bubble to you
Well-written.
Scary though, as I own a 360.
Interesting post

A lot would be my guess.
Not for being a fan-boy, but for three other reasons.
A: For failing to use a 'spell-check'
B: For pretending that your semi-literate skills were proficient enough to even express a legitimate opinion
C: For issuing a diatribe on something as insignificant, objectively, as a video game console.
Those that truly loved reading through entire interviews only to realize that nothing was said.
Admit it lard@ss!
WTF.
Some things do not make any sense. If I was 10 or younger maybe Nintendo might be the way to go, but it's not a serious system by any means....
Go figure
The 360 has issues, but it's completely blown out of proportion by Sony fanatics who do not own a 360 hyping the situation. They feel the need to delight in other peoples misery, and here's why: They need console themselves that they actually made the right purchase in buying an exorbitantly priced PS3 and waiting for months to play killer games on it, while 360 owners have had their game on for over a year now.
Neither can I understand the Sony Defense Force mentality. Sony ex...
